Reunited Post NOLA

Last night I had an amazing opportunity to share my story to this year's Mardi Gras outreach team made up of a couple churches and a lot of Christ for the Nations Institute students. The worship had me pumped up and the man in charge really impressed the importance of testimony as he invited me to share.

I wasn't nervous but I remember by the end of my story I felt really comfortable talking to these awesome people. I told them that divine appointments will happen and to trust God to use them even if they cannot see what He is doing.

I was so excited when everyone prayed for me. Then I had the chance to pray for their outreach. I asked God to ignite the passion for missions in their hearts. It was awesome to feel the love and faith in that room!

The best part of the night for me, besides sharing what God has done in my life, was when I was reunited with a few of the guys that were on the team when they met me in New Orleans on March 2, 2014. I could not have been smiling bigger. I was overflowing with joy. One said to me, "You don't seem anything like the same person. You have changed." I told him, "Yes! I am different!" I wanted to tell them how glad I was to see them. The only thing I could say was that I had literally been waiting years to see them again. I let them know that every time I share my testimony, I talk about the shoulder rub and when I jokingly said, "Yeah, talk to me about Jesus!" They remembered all of it and it was awesome for me to meet them again and share what my life is like now.

God is so awesome. The Mardi Gras 2016 team is leaving for New Orleans next Saturday. I will be praying for them. Please join me because I know for a fact fruit comes from this outreach. I am not the only one.
